“Designers 5” is one of the few places in Riga where you can find masterpieces of contemporary jewellery art. To be more precise, you can not only find them, but also own them.  “Five talented artists, one space,” it says on their website. Who are these five designers? They are not only jewellery designers, but also create and make leather accessories, knitwear and perfume. The concept store brings together the creative forces of Andris Lauders, Valdis Brože, Māris Šustiņš, Antra Hanna Elerta, and Ērika Rudika. “Come and see our space – slightly tucked away between a paradise garden and a concrete jungle that is Terbatas Street. The perfect refuge for artists, creators and connoisseurs of fine design. A place where to meet, have wine and enjoy the company of the designers.” Indeed, the gallery’s courtyard is a charming place to retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. But how did this place come about, who works there and who meets the visitors? “A unique character of this shop is that it is run by the designers themselves and so coming here you get the chance to meet them directly and discuss any ideas you have,” the authors of the idea and concept reveal.
